ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 made its official debut today with an ultra fast 300 Hz/ 3 ms display. The Strix SCAR 17 features GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER that was said to deliver a higher frame rate. Clocked speed up to 1560 MHz at a full 150 watts in turbo mode, it outpaces the standard GeForce RTX 2080 configurations. This GPU is built based on the revolutionary Turing architecture.
The Strix SCAR 17 features a quick 3ms grey-to-grey response time that minimizes motion blur for a better accuracy. Powering this beast, is the 10th Generation Intel Core i9-10980-HK CPU. Its 8-core processor peaks up to 5.3GHz with a single core spins up to 16 parallel threads to cope up even the heaviest activity. Pairing up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, the Strix SCAR 17 is faster than the stock 2933Hz memory for 10th Generation processors resulting in being more responsive. The two NVM Express SSDs runs in RAID 0 minimize the load time, thus allowing the data to be accessed at a faster rate and the system feels super responsive.
The cooling system used is liquid-metal technology. The compound helps to sustain higher clock speed up to 5.3GHz on a single-core with a lesser strain on the cooling system. Adding further, the two n-Blade fans are sculpted for a better cooling efficiency thanks to its liquid-crystal polymer material that ensures each fan can fit 83 ultrathin blades that strong enough at higher spin speeds. A self-cleaning cooling module maintains allows the build-up to be guided out of the chassis over the time. The design of ROG CoolZone located around the WASD keys to allow a better airflow through the area, thus reducing the surface temperature at extensive usage. Overstroke technology provides better responsiveness when the keys were pressed and the full N-Key rollover ensures the pressed keys simultaneously, registered. The Strix SCAR 17 features Intel’s Wi-Fi 6 standard. The laptop bundled together with ROG RangeBoost technology that evaluates the signal strength of four-internal antennas and picks the best for the current environment.
