AMD unveiled their all-new three additions to their 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processor class. Introduced as AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT and AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT processors. The XT branding were introduced for the first time to the Ryzen processor class, aimed to maximize the performance under any workload. The 3000XT desktop processor series were optimized with higher boost clocks to deliver maximum performance that useful for both gaming and content creation.
Also, AMD announced that the AMD B550 chipset is widely available, marking the first mainstream chipset with support for PCIe 4.0. The chipset is available in a variety form-factors of motherboard, the AMD B550 suitable for high performance for extensive gaming and multitasking environment. In addition, AMD announces the A520 chipset for socket AM4, and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processors for more than 40 designs in development, currently.
AMD shared the availability date and price for each Ryzen Processor class. The data are as follows:
|Model||Core / Threads||Boost / Base Frequency (GHz)||Total Cache (MB)||TDP (Watts)||Platform||SEP (USD)||Expected Availability|

The 3000XT processor series provides the world-class Zen 2 architecture with optimized 7nm manufacturing technology that allows higher boost clock achievable and higher performance with the same TDPs with their Ryzen 3000 counterparts. According to the data given by AMD to me, the Ryzen 9 3900XT offers up to 4% increase in single-threaded performance over their Ryzen 3000 series and up to 40% more power efficiency.
The AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT processers engineered for hardcore enthusiasts based on the specifications required to opt for an aftermarket cooling for optimized cooling in order to maintain the maximum performance. In addition, Wraith Spire cooler is given as a compliment in each AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT purchases. When it comes to cooling mechanism, AMD recommends AIO solution with a minimum of 280mm radiator or equivalent air cooling for efficient cooling. AMD also generously provides their recommended coolers for their processors.
Featuring the all new A520 chipset for socket AM4, it is the latest addition to the AMD 500 Series chipset aimed to provide performance to hardcore PC enthusiasts. These AMD 500 Series motherboard features the new A520 built for performance for the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors and beyond. This further adds an advantage for the Ryzen 3000XT processor series for multi-platform support for all motherboard features a Ryzen 3000-ready BIOS and including one day support over the 500 series chipset class.
Another good news for PC enthusiasts are, the AMD StoreMI technology has been revamped for 2020 and beyond with all new friendly user interface and added new features. Breaking down the version 2.0 highlight, it includes new caching-based acceleration algorithm that enhances data integrity by prioritizing most-used data, improved boot up time up to 31% and decreased game load by 13%. The AMD StoreMI provides SSD speeds with HDD capacity.
The availability for AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT and AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT will be widely available via AMD certified IT-Stores starting from July 7, 2020. Additionally, AMD A520 motherboards will be available starting from August 2020 from their board partners that includes ASUS, ASrock, Biostar, GIGABYTE, MSI and Colorful.
