MAXIS answers to UniFi’s Broadband Improvement Plan (Turbo) Event

After nearly a month, UniFi released their Broadband Improvement Plan event for its subscribers, today, Maxis comes with their own answers to its subscribers by introducing the most cheapest price for the offered packages. Yes, the cheapest. Now, with RM 129, you can finally have a taste on subscribing the 100 Mbps plan by maxis. The package was slightly cheaper compared to TIME’s low end package, 100 Mbps as well.

In addition, Maxis will introduce a new router, according to Lowyat.net, promises zero down time for their subscribers, in other word, when your main network fails, the 4G takes place without any notification sent to the users and, reverts back to the main line once the line were back to normal.

Plans Overview

30 Mbps Package

Pricing at a price of RM89, I would definitely say, this is worth for your bucks. I mean, it is much better than the UniFi Basic Plans whose comes with 60GB of quota per month.

The downloads and uploads are symmetrical compared to UniFi whose offering asymmetrical speeds. You can actually pay RM10/month for unlimited calls.

100 Mbps Package

Pricing at a price of RM 129, for heavy users, I mean, this would be a great opportunity for you to try it out. There is a slight difference between Maxis One 100 Mbps package with UniFi’s Lite 100 Mbps (after BIP events), as, you get symmetrical downloads and uploads while the Lite packages offer asymmetrical speed.

The local calls for this package were unlimited and, you don’t really need to pay more to enjoy the local calls.

How about for business organizations?

Well, my fellow ventures, no worries, as, Maxis do offer the cheapest internet packages for business organizations, by, introducing the 100 Mbps plan at the rate of RM 139. This is, by far, the cheapest plan ever offered to the business organizations in this country.

I am interested to try it out? Where do I go?

No worries, as you can go register at their official website starting from today and, Maxis has taken a step to prepare the Maxpert teams to set up the network environment at your residence or offices and a dedicated service center to answer all your questions or the problem you may face in the future during the subscription period.

I am an existing user, do I can shift to this plan?

The answer is yes. You can. You can opt to terminate your old account (if the contract has ended) or opt to extend your current contract to a new 24 month contract.

So when is the plans will be started to be implemented?

13 September 2018 – source.

Remarks:

I personally feel, the introduced plan by Maxis is worth for your bucks. Although they left behind compared to UniFi and TIME (They also will introduce a new plan soon as they recently come up with an open letter to UniFi), but, they might take time to catch up. Good luck, Maxis.
